Episode 179: Finished C2C crochet blanket

Cosy Memories blanket Tutorials

Crochet
I did mine slightly different. I went straight into the shell stitches rather than starting with a double crochet (UK terms) round first.
The C2C blanket has two edges with alternating gaps: one produced by the side of a treble crochet and the other from a chain.
The other two edges have a larger gap produced by the side of a treble crochet alternating with the top edge of three treble crochet stitches
I did 6 Treble crochet (UK terms) into the large gap produced at the side of a treble crochet stitch and then chain stitched into the centre treble (or in the into the large gap produced at the side of a treble crochet stitch on the sides with two larger gaps)
I used 1700g in total, So I used about 9 skeins of undyed merino and nylon (100g) plus lots of scraps, joined with a magic knot technique.
